ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Paul McGreevy understands dogs—as a vet, an animal behaviorist, and a dog owner. He is an associate professor at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Veterinary Science, where his research focuses on the behavior and welfare of dogs and horses. He is the author of six books and over eighty peer-reviewed articles on animal behavior. He is the recipient of many awards for his pioneering work, including the British Society for Animal Science RSPCA Award for Innovative Developments in Animal Welfare, the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Ian Clunies Ross Memorial Award, and the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare Companion Animal Welfare Award. Dr. McGreevy himself has three dogs: Wally, 13, Tinker, 3, and their puppy Neville; they live in Sydney.
